How to Install gimp software package in Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

gimp software package provides GNU Image Manipulation Program, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gimp

gimp is installed in your system.

Make ensure the gimp package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gimp *

You will get with gimp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
